- WI DOJ - Division of Criminal Investigation
In 2006, The Wisconsin Department of Justice, Division of Criminal Investigation was identified by the Governor's Homeland Security Council as the state agency to establish and manage our state's intelligence fusion center. The Wisconsin Statewide Information Center (WSIC) became operational on March 1st, 2006. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are partners with the WSIC and the STAC (the fusion center operated by the Milwaukee PD) in fusion center operations and have personnel assigned to each center. In cases where agencies or the public observe suspicious activity or potential terrorist concerns, it is imperative that the information be relayed to the JTTF, WSIC or STAC as soon as possible. This brief is to update conference attendees on current threats and happenings at the WSIC.
